Mattera Life Systems ("we," "our," or "us"), doing business as PAWOS, is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your data. We operate under strict ISO 27001 information security standards. This policy outlines how we handle data for our mobile application, website, and veterinary clinical systems.

2. Clinical & Health Data

PAWOS is a clinical-grade operating system. We collect and process the following categories of sensitivity data:

  • Pet Health Metrics: Clinical Stability Index (CSI) scores, activity baselines, and gait analysis data.
  • Veterinary Records: When authorized, we sync data from Practice Management Systems (PMS) like VetPort or ezyVet.
  • User Data: Identity and contact information required for account management.

Research Use: We may de-identify and aggregate pet health trends to further veterinary science and improve our Early Detection Algorithms. Your personal identity is never linked to this research data.

3. Security & Compliance (ISO 27001)

Security is our baseline. We maintain an Information Security Management System (ISMS) certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards.

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).
  • Access Control: Strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) ensures only authorized personnel can access system data.
  • HIPAA Alignment: While pets are not covered under HIPAA, we voluntarily adhere to HIPAA-grade security practices for all medical data.

4. GDPR & Data Rights (EEA/UK Users)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, we process data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you and your pets.
  • Rectification: Correct any inaccurate data.
  • Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request complete deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
